From the 1st July 2015, all 0800 and 0808 numbers will be FREE to call from UK mobiles as well as landlines. Figures show that 60% of calls made within the UK originate from mobile devices and if given the choice, 63% of the public would always call Freephone numbers first. Therefore, the revision to allow mobile users to call 0800 for free has been a much needed change, with some networks currently charging around 20p per minute to call a 0800 number.
