Welcome back to ePayMe and thank you for returning to us as your chosen provider, we look forward to processing your payroll.
As it has been some time since you were last paid through us, we wanted to provide you with some information and documents that may be useful, as well as some important points to action.
Our General and Education Contracts may have been updated and these supersede your previous agreement. You do not need to do anything, this is for your information only.
Your agency can provide you with a specific KID (Key Information Document) for your assignment. Please see an example General and Education KID, which may be of interest.
If you do need to provide us with updated ID, you can utilise our Right To Work Form to complete this.
Our Frequently Asked Questions provide a large amount of useful information and we would recommend a quick review.
To comply with AWR, we would appreciate if you could please send across details of your assignment or a copy of your assignment schedule through to assignments@epayme.co.uk.
If you wanted us to pay you for work with multiple agencies we can also arrange that. All you would need to do is check they will accept us as your provider then we can contact them on your behalf to set it up. The benefit of using us for multiple agencies is that you would only have one point of contact for any payroll related enquiries and process all payments against your primary tax code. Please note our standard margins may apply for this service, please click here for further information.
Please note, if you have opted for email payslips, here is a guide to opening zip files on a mobile device to be able to view your payslip.
Just a reminder about Pensions. You will be aware from your original registration about Pension Auto Enrolment. To help people save more for their retirement, the government requires employers to enrol their workers into a workplace pension scheme. If you’ve been automatically enrolled, opted in or re-enrolled into a pension before, you have opted out or stopped contributing. We may automatically re-enroll you on your return because the reasons you had for opting out or stopping contributions may have changed and you might be ready to start building a retirement income. You can choose whether you want to stay in or opt out of the scheme. If you want to stay in the scheme you don’t have to do anything.
You have joined or will have joined our company pension scheme because you met all of the following criteria:
You earn over £192 per week (or £833 per month/£10000 per year)
You are aged 22 or over and
You are under state pension age
If you decide that you don’t want to put money aside for your retirement just yet, you have the right to opt out. You must do this within the opt-out period, which is normally one month from the date your enrolment began. The pension provider will write to you shortly to tell you about your one month opt-out period.
Before you can opt–out you will need your pension information (supplied by the pension provider). This will be in the letter that the pension provider sends to you. Once you have received the information from the provider you can opt out in several ways: By visiting their website: https://www.smartpension.co.uk/contact-forms/member and follow the instructions on screen or here. Or give them a call on 0333 666 2626.
What happens if you opt out?
Opting out means you will be treated as though we have never enrolled you into the scheme. Once a valid opt-out notice has been received, we will refund to you any member contributions you have made through your pay.
If you change your mind after opting out, you can opt back in again if you want to. We have a duty to make that happen once in any 12 month period if you ask us to.
If you choose to opt out you will normally be automatically re-enrolled back into the pension scheme at a later date. This is usually every three years after the date these new duties first apply to us. This will also happen if you stay in SMART PENSION but stop making contributions.
Stopping contributions
Once you are a member of SMART PENSION you might want to stop making contributions or take a break from contributing later on. SMART PENSION lets you do this. There is no need to opt out in the first month just because you think you might want to take a contribution break later on.
If you do take a break and decide to start contributing again, you just need to let SMART PENSION or us know. If you choose to stop contributing, the contributions you have made so far will stay in your retirement pot, these will not be refunded.
Providing you with a workplace pension scheme
Once you are a member of SMART PENSION it is their legal duty to make sure that your membership carries on and that you keep getting the contributions you are entitled to. This doesn’t apply if you opt out or stop making contributions.
