Between October 2012 and February 2018 employers will need to start automatically enrolling all of their 'eligible jobholders' in a pension scheme which meets minimum requirements, or in the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST). Auto-enrolment comes hot on the heels of the Agency Worker Regulations in extending the benefits of employment status to agency workers. This creates additional costs for agencies and a dilemma for the business as to whether (and to what extent) to pass those costs … [Read more...]
Are you ready for RTI?
Phasing in from April 2013, Real Time Information (RTI) will mean submitting payroll returns to HMRC each time employees are paid, instead of just once a year as is currently required. The aim is to increase up-to-date and accurate information and to avoid errors. If you are not already using a payroll provider such as ePayMe, this is what you will need to do to get ready to operate PAYE in real time. The start of the new school year
With the start of the new school term fast approaching I thought I would share my thoughts with you with regards to making the most of school open days: How school open days can help when you’re deciding which schools to apply to for your child.
