The National Minimum Wage will increase by 19p in October 2014 The Government has confirmed that they will take on board the recent recommendation from LPC (Low Pay Commission), stating the need to increase the National Minimum Wage by 3% to £6.50 per hour. This will be put in place from October 2014. Though the National Minimum Wage was increased in 2013 to £6.31, the rise was out weighed by the continual advance of living costs.
