If you have not paid the correct UK TAX, you could be visited by HMRC! After the Government saw a failure in collecting TAX and National Insurance Contributions from certain companies, the Treasury has issued a 2nd Consultation Document. This document states that third parties are now liable for any unpaid TAX if the Managed Service Companies are closed due to the HMRC questions and challenging the organisation. New legislation brought out in March 2013, allows the HMRC to begin to challenge offshore companies regarding UK TAX being paid. This can then lead to the HMRC approaching three parties such as the Contractor, End Client and Agency regarding payment for any unpaid TAX.
