Warnings from recruitment and business bodies are being sounded in light of last week’s Liberal Democrat party conference giving the go-ahead to a range of measures that will impact tax planning, company directors and temporary workers. Although contractors were not singled out in the major speeches, one business group has reacted to them by stressing the importance of the flexible workforce; a staffing body agreed and another said the tax changes amounted to a PR exercise.
